Wizard, dragons and a seeing staff

After a week of traveling they arrive at the castle. It's not what they expected; the castle is clean but seems abandoned. They walk in side and start searching the place, but to their surprise there is nothing out of the ordinary. But as they enter the throne room which is dragon sized, they see what looks like a wizard siting at the throne. He stands up, the wizard is wearing a black cloak and black leather gloves and in his hand he holds a staff. The staff looks like it is made of a brown metal with a glowing green orb that looks like an eye staring at them, slowly moving its gaze to each of them one by one.

"HEY YOU, DID YOU ATTACK OUR TOWN?" Larry yelled. The staff’s light fell on Larry.

"Well yes and no after all I did not go myself ". The wizard said happily.

"So that's the guy we have to kill? Great!!!!" Lisa said pulling out her sword.

"Um…. what is with the staff?" Fred asked.

"looks like a dragon artefact, that explains some things". Peta said, feeling like she should be growling.

"4 dragons and the average human what a surprise, NOT!!!! I saw you coming when you left, that is what my staff does after all, well one thing any way. And this is not a dragon artefact but ancient forbidden world technology and magic, oh and I call it the eye." The wizard said evilly.

"What is ancient forbidden world technology and magic? And also what do you mean by 4 dragons?" Larry said as electricity started coming off his hand.

"Something you don't understand, it's not something that even gods can create. It's the remains of a race, long extinct and that's all you need to know. As for why I called you dragons, well let’s make this more interesting shall we?" The wizard said as he held his staff up in front of him. It flashed with a bright green light, than Peta, Fred, Larry and Lisa fell to the ground in pain as they got bigger, they grew scales, wings and a tail. Tom stood there speechless and could not move because of shock. When done Peta looked at her self then at Tom.

“I'm sorry..." She said before turning back to the wizard. She started growling heavily, the air around her began to Freeze. As Peta started to walk towards the wizard everything within a few meters turned to ice.

“Oh f... A titanic dragon? This is not good..." The wizard said starting to get scared. To explain a titanic dragon is not a normal dragon, they are naturally a lot more powerful. Their scales easily withstand being shot by a tank unlike other dragons and their strength is incredible, however to counter this, their no smarter that wild and mindless animals. But Peta is different; she was found alone as an egg and raised like any other dragon. Her parents did not know what she was until she got in to a fight against a dragon twice her size and age when she was 10 and won. But that will be explained more another time so back to now. Everyone else had got their memories back and had surrounded the wizard while Tom was still frozen in emotions. Larry was drawing a magic symbol in the air with electricity far behind the wizard while Lisa and Fred were shooting fire and ice at him. The wizard had a shield around him created by his staff.

"Is that the best you have?" The wizard said teasing them.

"No actually". Peta said smashing the shield.

"H-how? I have the eye." the wizard said confused as his body began to turn to ice from just being near Peta.

"Take another look." Larry said smiling, siting with his arms folded. The last thing the wizard saw was a thin layer of electricity keeping him from touching the eye before he was nothing more than an ice statue. The eye started floating in the air on its own before vanishing. Larry and Lisa hugged each other and gave each other a kiss. Fred started rolling on the floor. Peta waked over to Tom and sat down.

“Listen... Tom I'm sorry we did not mean any harm we were just asked to find out about the dragon artefacts". Peta said sadly.

"It's all right. You are the nicest dragon I have met, all of you are. You should go home; with the spell broken you cannot come back to red rock. Good by..."Tom said as he slowly walked out and started walking back to the town. Following his lead Peta, Fred, Larry and Lisa started to fly back to the dragon council. But over 3 years it now looks a little different.
